Aug 29 – The Saskatchewan bantam AAA boys baseball team finished second at the 2010 Bantam Boys Championship in Vaughn, Ontario.
On Sunday, Saskatchewan lost 18-2 to Vaughn in the final to finish second in the championship. Jager Toffan was the losing pitcher while Regina’s Kade Erickson had two hits. Saskatchewan beat B.C. 3-0 in the semifinal to advance to the gold medal game. Jeremy Sylvester was the winning pitcher; Jordan Schultz had two hits.
On Saturday, Saskatchewan first beat Prince Edward Island 14-12. Regina’s Cade Erickson was the winning pitcher. Jordan Schultz and Bryce Crosbie each had two hits. Saskatchewan then beat Nova Scotia 7-3. Crosbie was the winning pitcher; Jager Toffan of Regina had three hits.
Aug 28 – Saskatchewan beat Alberta 15-12 in their first game on Friday. Cole Warken of Regina was the winning pitcher; Bryce Crosbie had four RBI. Saskatchewan beat New Brunswick 11-1 in their second game on Friday. Tanner Ring of Regina was the winning pitcher. Jordan Schultz of Strasburg had three hits.
Aug 27 – Saskatchewan beat Quebec 7-4 in their first game of the tournament. Bryce Crosbie of Moose Jaw was the winning pitcher while Kade Erickson of Regina had three hits. In the second game on Thursday, Saskatchewan lost 12-2 to Vaughn. Emery Anderson of Regina was the losing pitcher while Regina’s Joel Walker had the team’s one RBI.
