Saskatchewan third at Football Canada Cup under-18 tournament
Saskatchewan finished third at the Football Canada Cup under-18 tournament in Nova Scotia.
They beat the host team 27-24, coming back from a 21-10 deficit. Brandon Cannon scored on six-yard and seven-yard touchdown runs, while Ryan Filynk caught an interception. Quarterback Noah Picton scored on 17-yard touchdown run, while Dylan Chadwick had a 31-yard field goal.

Paperboyz win old Fat Guy Touch Football League
For the second year in a row, the Paperboyz have won the Old Fat Guy Touch Football League, beating the Cowboys 49-27 in the final on Saturday. Mark Anderson was named the league`s MVP for 2010. Anderson threw seven touchdown passes and completed all seven converts. Wes Kosteroski threw four touchdown passes for the Cowboys.

Megalomania second in the country
Regina Touch Football’s Megalomania finished in second place this weekend at the national touch football championships, the Tournament of Championships, in Ottawa. They lost to Burlington Spartans after eliminating the second, third, and fifth seeded teams. Megalomania was ranked 10th going into the tournament and are only the third team from Western Canada to make it to the elite division.

The Regina Gators won the Regina Minor Football Atom division title with a 6-0 win over the White City Knights. Each team had a perfect season with 6-0 records.

Ehrlo Monday Night Football beginning
The Ehrlo Monday Night Football will begin September 6th. Registration and a skills camp begin that night from 6 pm to 7:30 pm at Mosaic Stadium. Players from the Saskatchewan Roughriders and the Regina Thunder will be helping with the camp. Youths ages eight to 18 are welcome to the camp, which is free of charge.
