Thunder lose first game of 2011 season
The Regina Thunder lost the first game of their 2011 PFC football season with a 15-10 loss to the Saskatoon Hilltops on Saturday night.

The Regina Thunder tied the Winnipeg Rifles in an exhibition game on Sunday in Brandon.

Regina Thunder annual sports dinner
The Regina Thunder’s annual sports dinner will pay tribute to the Saskatchewan Roughriders’ three Grey Cup teams. The dinner will take place on March 12th at 6 pm at the turvey Centre. The special guests include Gene Makowsky of the 2007 team, Roger Aldag of the 1989 team, and George Reed of the 1966 team. Jim Hopson is the mater of ceremonies.

The Regina Thunder are holding their first indoor workout on Sunday from 9 to 10:30 pm at the Credit Union EventPlex.

Mark Coons again PFC offensive player of the week
Once again, mark Coons of the Regina Thunder has been named the Prairie Football Conference offensive player of the week.
In a 32-24 loss to the Saskatoon Hilltops in the PFC final on the weekend, running back Coons rushed the ball 20 times for 144 yards and had five catches for 46 yards and a touchdown.

The Regina Thunder’s Mark Coons was named the Canadian Junior Football League’s Offensive Player of the Week.
