Graham DeLaet ties for ninth place

Graham DeLaet of Weyburn tied for ninth place at the Puerto Rico Open in Rio Grande on the weekend. DeLaet shot a one-under-par 71 in the final day to finish the tournament at ten-under, earning him $94,500 and a total of $173,717 for the season. DeLaet ties for 55th place at Waste Management Open

Graham DeLaet of Weyburn finished the PGA’s Waste Management Open in Scottsdale, Arizona, in 55th place this weekend. DeLaet began the tournamnet at the TPC Scottsdale – Stadium Course with an even-par 71 on Thursday. Friday he was tw0-under at 69, shot a one-over 72 on Saturday, and was even again on the final day to finish at one-under. Kyle Stanley of the U.S. won the event at 15 under.  Read More →

Graham DeLaet ties for 29th in Hawaii

Weyburn’s Graham DeLaet finished in a tie for 29th place at the PGA Tour’s Sony Open, held at the Waialae Country Club in Honolulu, hawaii. DeLaet took first place after the opening round, but finished the tournament at five-under. He shot an opening round of 63 (7-under), followed by rounds of 72, 68 and 72.  Read More →

Wascana Country Club announces new head golf professional

The Wascana Country Club has announced the appointment of Dean Manz as the new head golf professional. The Wascana conducted a search of candidates. Manz, a former assistant golf professional at the Wascana Country Club, was most recently the head golf professional at Elk Ridge Resort. Kent Eager finishes second

Daegan Wall wins SHSAA golf championship

Daegan Wall of LeBoldus High School won the Saskatchewan High School Athletic association provincial golf championship on the weekend in Kenosee. Wall shot 144 over two days for the win in the male division. The LeBoldus golf team also won the team event witha combined total of 451. Lisa Reid of Riffel shot 174 over the two days, then won the female division in a playoff. The team female event was... 

Saskatchewan Golf Hall of Fame inducts five more

The Saskatchewan Golf Association is inducting five golfers this year into their Hall of Fame. Doug Mader, Pat Lawson, Danny Jutras, Terry Meier and Bill Wallace will be inducted October 1st at the Wascana Golf Club. Mader and Lawson will be inducted in the player category. RHSAA Golf winners

The RHSAA golf championships took place yesterday at the Murray Golf Course, with teams from LeBoldus and Luther coming out on top. LeBoldus won the boys division, with the following scores: Aaron Vogel – 75 Daegan Wall – 75 Matt Turchett – 76 Kyle Whitrow – 86 Luther won the girls division, with the following scores: Jamie Anderson – 99 Megan Gilewich – 111 Lisa... 

Saskatchewan at the Canadian men’s mid-amateur

Saskatchewan golfers are competing at the 2011 Canadian Men’s Mid-Amateur compeition in Uxbridge, Ontario at the Coppingwood Golf Club. We will follow their progress: Sept 9 – After the final round of the Canadian men’s mid-amateur golf tournament, Jason Galon was the top Saskatchewan finisher in a tie for 37th place at 13-over-par. Galon shot a four-over 76 in the final day of competition.... 

Regina golfers win divisions at SK Order of Merit Championship

Noah Kozak and Lisa Reid won two of the events at the Saskatchewan Junior Order of Merit Tour Championship, which finished yesterday at the Riverside Country Club in Saskatoon.   Kozak won the boys 12-and-under division with rounds of 75 and 81 for a total of 156 and 103 points in the Stableford scoring system.   Reid shot 83 and 90 for a two-round total of 173 and 81 points to win the girls 15-16...
