Graham DeLaet ties for 29th in Hawaii
Weyburn’s Graham DeLaet finished in a tie for 29th place at the PGA Tour’s Sony Open, held at the Waialae Country Club in Honolulu, hawaii.
DeLaet took first place after the opening round, but finished the tournament at five-under.
He shot an opening round of 63 (7-under), followed by rounds of 72, 68 and 72.

Wascana Country Club announces new head golf professional
The Wascana Country Club has announced the appointment of Dean Manz as the new head golf professional.
The Wascana conducted a search of candidates.
Manz, a former assistant golf professional at the Wascana Country Club, was most recently the head golf professional at Elk Ridge Resort. Manz will begin at the Wascana February 1st, 2011.

Kent Eager finishes second
Regina’s Ken Eager finished in second place at the Desert Dunes Classic on Sunday.
He was 14-under-par at the tournament, which was played in Desert Hot Springs, California. The winner was Byron Smith, at 16-under.

Daegan Wall wins SHSAA golf championship
Daegan Wall of LeBoldus High School won the Saskatchewan High School Athletic association provincial golf championship on the weekend in Kenosee.
Wall shot 144 over two days for the win in the male division. The LeBoldus golf team also won the team event witha combined total of 451.

Saskatchewan Golf Hall of Fame inducts five more
The Saskatchewan Golf Association is inducting five golfers this year into their Hall of Fame.
Doug Mader, Pat Lawson, Danny Jutras, Terry Meier and Bill Wallace will be inducted October 1st at the Wascana Golf Club.

Saskatchewan golfers are competing at the 2011 Canadian Men’s Mid-Amateur compeition in Uxbridge, Ontario at the Coppingwood Golf Club. We will follow their progress:

Regina golfers win divisions at SK Order of Merit Championship
Noah Kozak and Lisa Reid won two of the events at the Saskatchewan Junior Order of Merit Tour Championship, which finished yesterday at the Riverside Country Club in Saskatoon.
Kozak won the boys 12-and-under division with rounds of 75 and 81 for a total of 156 and 103 points in the Stableford scoring system.
Reid shot 83 and 90 for a two-round total of 173 and 81 points to win the girls 15-16...
New inductees into Saskatchewan Golf Hall of Fame
Fivenew inductees will be inducted into the Saskatchewan Golf Hall of Fame in October.
Doug Mader of Lumsden will be inducted as a player, while Terry Meier of Regina will be inducted as a builder.

Regina golfers find success at Saskatchewan junior golf chamiponships
The CPGA of Saskatchewan junior golf championships were played in Lethbridge, Alberta this weekend. Many Regina golfers played well over the weekend:
