Female Midget AAA Capitals take early lead

The Regina Female Midget AA Capitals took an early lead in a two-game total-point series in the first round of the SHA provincial playdowns. The team beat the North East Lakers 5-0 on the road. Ahleah Dilschneider stopped 22 shots in the win, while Kelsey Boyah, Emilie Marceau-Kozicki, Jessica Orban, Cara Schnell and Monique Wickstrom scored. Flames win A final of Midget AAA Western Canada tournament

The Regina Flames won the B final of the Midget AAA Wetsern Canada Invitational hockey tournament on the weeken, beating the Saskatoon Steel 5-0. Joshua Laframboise scored two goals for the Flames; Brett Boechler, Cody Braddock and Corwin Stevely also scored. Regina Sabres win city and provincial titles

The Regina Sabres won the city and provincial pee wee tier 1 boys hockey championships on the weekend. They are the first Regina-based team to do so since 1990.   The Sabres beat the Saskatoon Titans 10-6 in a two-game total-points provincial final. Regina Sabres win Pee Wee Tier 1 city championship

The Regina Sabres won the Pee Wee Tier 1 Hockey Regina Championship on Wednesday. They beat the Lumsden Lions 2-1 in overtime. Tanner Brewster scored in regular time for the Sabres; Carter Forehlich scored with just over a minute left to force the overtime. Chaseton Sare scored the game-winning goal. Regina Scouts win provincial Midget Tier II championships

The Regina Scouts are the Midget Tier II Saskatchewan Hockey Association champions. They beat the Saskatoon Renegade Ice 6-5 in a two-game, total-point series. They won the first game in Regina on March 18th 3-2; Bryn Gelewitz, Anthony Burley, and Michael Brown scored. They tied the second game 3-3; Josh Orb scored two and Chris Richards added a third. Pee Wee female Capitals win South Division

The pee wee female Regina Capitals beat the Estevan Vipers in the double knockout pee wee female South Division final on the weekend. The Capitals won the first game 2-1; Jaedyn Leier and Roslyn Bodnaruk scored, while Drew Cheers was in net; Mariah McKersie scored for Estevan. The same day, Regina beat Estevan 6-2. Regina Capitals pee wee girls win Invitational Tournament

The Regina Capitals pee wee girls hockey team won the Swift Current Female Pee Wee Invitational Tournament. They won the championship 5-0 over the Swift Current Colts. Cassandra Jasper and Sara Tokarz each scored two goals while Kelsey Davies also scored. Drew Cheers had the shutout and was the game’s MVP.  Read More →

2002 South Sask Selects win novice minor title at City of Bridges

The 2002 South Sask Selects, a spring team for those players born in 2002, won the novice minor title this past weekend at the City of Bridges hockey tournament in Saskatoon. The Selects beat Sask-Can 4-3 in double overtime to win the final game of the tournament. The South Sask Selects have won the novice boys title at the Alberta champions Cup hockey tournament in Edmonton. They beat the Grande Prairie North Country Stars 8-2 in the final after going 5-0 throughout the tournament.  Read More →

Regina Blackhawks are midget tier 3 provincial champions

The Regina Blackhawks beat the Saskatoon Redwing Ravens in a two-game total-point series to win the SHA’s midget tier 3 championship. The Blackhawks won 9-3 and 5-4, and won all six of their playoff games.  Read More →
