Balgonie Bisons begin SHA Senior AAA Provincial final
The Balgonie Bisons Senior Hockey club will be entering uncharted waters in the next week as they begin the SHA Senior AAA Provincial best of 5 final, against either the Rosetown Redwings or senior AAA stalwarts, the Lloydminster Border Kings.
Rosetown and Lloydminster are presently tied at one game a piece in the best of three semi-final series. The third and deciding game is Friday March 9th in Lloydminster.

Women’s hockey adds Gavelin, Kennedy
REGINA, Sask. – University of Regina women’s hockey head coach Sarah Hodges announced Tuesday the addition of forwards Kylie Gavelin (Mankota) and Jill Kennedy (Swift Current) to the team’s 2012-13 recruiting class.
Gavelin finished in the SFMHL’s top ten in scoring this season, ending up with 17 points and 19 assists for 36 points in 28 regular season games with the Weyburn Gold Wings....

The Regina Pats exploded for six 3rd period goals to beat the Brandon Wheat Kings 6-4 and jump past them into 7th place in the East Division of the WHL. The dramatic win was led by Chandler Stephenson who recorded his first WHL Hat Trick. Rebels’ season ends
The Regina Rebels’ season came to an end on Thursday night, when they lost 1-0 to the Prince Albert A & W Bears, providing the Bears the playoff series win.
Jessica Vance had the shutout for the Bears with 41 saves. Kaitlin Willoughby scored their lone goal.
Rae McClintock stopped 21 shots for the Rebels.
