5-Pin bowlers headed to Youth Challenge Provincials
Regina bowlers are off to the Youth Challenge provincials in Saskatoon on December 4th.
The Regina 5-Pin Bowlers’ Association announced the teams. Regina’s women’s team will include Samantha McIntyre, Alessandra Nagel, Manuela Nagel, Santana Nagel and Kim Vibert. Their coach will be Dean Nagel.

Michael Pituley wins SK indoor lawn bowling championship
Michael Pituley of Regina won a tie-breaker playoff game to qualify as the Saskatchewan singles champion in the indoor lawn bowling championship.
Pituley beat Regina’s Wayne Slinn 3-1 on the weekend for first place, while Garth Zummack, also of Regina, took third.
Pituley will now play in the Canadian indoor singles championship, held October 24th to 30th in Vancouver.

Saskatchewan team second at Canadian senior men’s triples
Saskatchewan finished in second place at the Canadian senior men’s triples lawn bowling championships in Port Alberni, B.C. The Saskatchewan team of Keith Roney, Garth Zummack and Ralph Van Iderstine had a 7-2 record over the preliminary round. Saskatchewan lost 17-10 to Nova Scotia in the finals.

Roneys win gold
Keith and Jean Roney of Regina won gold on Wednesday at the mixed pairs lawn bowling championship in Winnipeg. They beat Vince Mai and Josephine Lee of BC 22-10 in the final after going 8-1 in the round robin.

Saskatchewan foursome are gold
Three Regina bowlers – all from the same family – and a Saskatoon fourth won the gold medal on the weekend at the Canadian lawn bowling championships in Toronto.
Skip Jonathan Pituley, vice-skip Michael Pituley, lead Murray Pituley, and second Grant Wilkie beat Alberta 17-12 in the final. Saskatchewan also had the best round-robin record at 8-1, losing only to Alberta.

Regina lawn bowlers win tournament
Regina Lawn Bowling Club members Gerald Bocking and Ingrid Riffell wont he mixed pairs title at Bowls Saskatchewan’s grassroots tournament this weekend.
Winning the mixed fours title was Margaret Isaak (Sasakatoon), Basil Pogue (Regina), Donalda Ford (Regina), and Bev Kenyon (Saskatoon).

Michael Pituley of Regina finished in second place at the Canadian junior lawn bowling championships this weekend in Montreal.
Pituley lost 21-18 to Grant Wilkie of Saskatoon in the final. Both were undefeated for the rest of the championships.
