Regina boxers from the Lonsdale and Regina Boxing Club split their matches with the Wales’ Bridgend Boxing Club on Sunday.
Results were as follows:
Harry Byers (Lonsdale) beat Garet Penny
Rennie Deiter (Regina) beat Gareth Thomas
William Jones beat Tyler Michael (Lonsdale)
Adam Reeves beat Lee MacKenzie (Black and Blue)
The rematch will take place Sunday, 7 pm, at the Lonsdale Boxing Club.

Pat Fiacco President of Boxing Canada
Regina’s mayor, Pat Fiacco, was named the President of Boxing Canada yesterday after he was elected at the Annual General Meeting in Toronto.
Fiacco, who is a member of the International Amateur Boxing Association’s referee and judges commission, will serve two years as President.

Brody Pigeon to box international
Regina’ s Brody Pigeon will soon be a world tour.
The boxer will fight in Germany in June beofre heading to Malawi, Africa for July and August. He will then box in the Isle of Man in September in the Commonwealth Games.

Saskatchewan’s Boxing Team at the Canada Winter Games
Feb 25 – The finals took place in each division.
Brody Pigeon of Saskatcheawn won gold in the 46 to 49 kg division, beating Evan Arthur Gillard of Ontario 22-21.

The Ken Goff Memorial Boxing Classic begins today in Regina. Team Canada will be taking on Team Ireland in a Regina Boxing ring. This will be Team Canada’s first international competition of the year.
