University of Regina Results The University of Regina’s track & field teams had their first competition of the second semester on Saturday in Saskatoon, as the Cougars squared off against the University of Saskatchewan in a dual. Jordan Wand broke a provincial record this weekend – his own – at the First Chance track and field meet in Saskatoon. Kendra Schaaf of Craven and the Queen City Striders won her fourth Canadian title this weekend, when she won the women’s 7 km race at the 2011 national cross-country championships in Vancouver in a time of 25 minutes. The University of Regina Cougars took part in an intrasquad meet this weekend. Chris Pickering won the men’s weight throw with a distance of 15.44 m, in addition to the shot put with 16.68 m, which is a Cougar record. Chantelle Labrecque won the women’s weight throw with 14.36 m and the shot put with 12.28 m. Other winners were: Men’s 60 m – Tevaughn Campbell Men’s 300...

The 2011 Alberta Provincial Senior Cross Country championships, in conjunction with the Stewart Memorial Cross Country Cup, was held in Edmonton on Sat. Oct 29, 2011. The University of Regina’s men’s cross country team finished in eighth place in the overall standings on Saturday afternoon at the Vic Matthews Open in Guelph, Ont.
