The University of Regina Cougars took part in an intrasquad meet this weekend. Chris Pickering won the men’s weight throw with a distance of 15.44 m, in addition to the shot put with 16.68 m, which is a Cougar record. The University of Regina’s men’s cross country team finished in eighth place in the overall standings on Saturday afternoon at the Vic Matthews Open in Guelph, Ont. MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Kelly Wiebe sparkled for the University of Regina’s men’s cross country team on Saturday at the Roy Griak Invitational, as the fifth-year harrier finished in fourth place in the competition’s Division I individual standings.   Wiebe’s time of 23:49 on the eight-kilometre Les Bolstad Golf Course track was topped only by three athletes in the 220-runner field....
