Reuben Ross qualifies for Olympics
Reuben Ross of Pilot Butte have come closer to competing in the men’s three-metre synchronized diving event at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Ross will dive with Alexandre Despatie; they earned one of four available berths at the FINA World Cup event in London. They now earn the right to compete at the Canadian Olympic trials, which are held in May in Montreal.

Regina Diving Club at Polar Bear Classic
The Regina Diving Club competed at the Polar Bear Classic over the weekend in Winnipeg.
Regina won the top team award over teams from the U.S. and South America.
Kennedy Massier won two gold medals and one bronze medal in Group B.

Cole Miller wins a bronze at Pan-Ams
Sept 13 – Cole Miller won a bronze medal on the weekend at the Junior Pan American diving championships. He and partner Marc Sabourin-Germain of Montreal were third in the three-metre synchro event. In addition to his eight place on the 3 m, Miller was also 11th in the one-metre in his division.

Reuben Ross has personal best at world championships
Pilot Butte’s Reuben Ross competed at the FINA world acquatic championship this weekend in Shanghai China, and had his best finish to date with a sixth place in the one-metre springboard event, with 401.40 points. The gold medal went to Shixin Li of China with 463.90 points.
Ross will dive the three-metre event later this week.

Cole Miller wins one-metre at diving championships
Regina’s Cole Miller took first place in the one-metre event at the Canadian junior diving championships this weekend in Quebec with a score of 493.85. He was sixth in the three-metre event. Miller earned a place on the Canadian junior diving team, who will compete at the junior Pan am Games in September in Columbia.

Cole Miller of Regina placed third at the 2011 Speedo junior national diving championship in the men’s three-metre event in the 16-18 age group.
The championship took place in Pointe-Claire, Quebec.

Markus Boehm third at Canadian tier II diving championships
Regina’s Markus Boehm competed this weekend at the Canadian tier II diving chamiponships in Kitchener, Ontario.
Boehm finished third in the one metre event with 152.70 points. He was also third in the three metre with 162.5 points.
Thomas Jordens, also of the Regina Diving Club, was third in the three metre with with 149.95 points, and sixth in the one-metre with 122.49 points.

Regina divers finish with firsts
The REgina Diving Club had seven first place finishes at the Tier II Saskatchewan championships held in Regina at the Lawson Aquatic Centre on Sautrday.
Thomas Jordens won the boys one metre and three metre; Arielle Blundell won the girls one-metre and three-metre; Kaymee Pederson won the girls one-metre and three-metre, and Paige Rushton won the girls three-metre (all in perspective divisions).

Reuben Ross of Pilot Butte won the men’s three-metre tower at the summer national diving competition in Edmonton on Saturday. ross finished with 468.45 points, his fourth career national victory on the 3m.
