Saskatchewan athletes took part in the Saskatchewan Karate Association fall tournament on the weekend.
In local results, Basic Schmuck finished first in the adult male black belt. Breanne Kaiswatum finished first in the female 11-13 novice.

The Saskatchewan Fencing Association will hold their Annual Awards Banquet in Saskatoon this weekend, to honour those in the province who have achieved the top rankings in their respective weapon and age divisions, and four dedicated Regina Athletes have made the grade.

Anna Hancherow wins three goals
Anna Hancherow of Regina won three gold medals on the weekend at the International Chinese Martial Arts Championships North America Finals.
The finals took place in Washington, D.C. Hancherow was first in the advanced women’s long fist, staff, and straight sword events.

Judo Sask athletes to Quebec Open October 8th & 9th
Judo Saskatchewan is sending a team to the Quebec Open Judo Championships
this weekend at the Pierre-Charbonneau Centre in Montreal. This competition
will draw approximately 850 athletes from every province in Canada, as well

23 medals for Regina at Championships
Regina Progressive Wushu Centre members won an impressive 23 medals at the International Chinese Martial Arts Championships in Las Vegas on the weekend.
Athletes won eight gold, 14 silver, and one bronze in various disciplines.
Team members were as follows: Liam Vuong, Matthew Yee, Michelle Brabant, Khang Nguyen, Anna hancerow, Sarah Goddard, Sheryl brabant, Scot Beaumont, and Chris Rothecker.

Judo SK sending 20 athletes to Canadian National Youth Championships
Judo Saskatchewan will be sending 20 athletes to this year’s Canadian National Youth Championships in Sept-Iles, Quebec.
The national championships competition will take place over 3 days, July 1 to 3. A national training camp will take place from July 4 to 7 at the same location.
