The 2011 award winners of the Regina Rowing Club were named on Sunday at a ceremony.

The Regina Rowing Club hosted the Western Canada Sprints Rowing Regatta on Saturday at Wascana Lake. Below are results of members of the RRC who finished in the top three:

34th Western Canada Sprints Regatta on Wascana Lake
Regina, May 24, 2011 – Wascana Lake will see plenty of action on June 11th, as top rowers from Western Canada will compete in the 34th annual Western Canada Sprints Regatta in Regina.
Regina will welcome up to 200 athletes from Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario. The races will begin at 9AM and will conclude at approximately 5PM, with heats starting at 6AM.

Master Regina Rowers win gold
Master rowers from Regina came away with gold medals this weekend at the FISA world masters rowing championships in St. Catharine’s, Ontario.
Jennifer Stewart-Mitchell and Russ Hart won gold in the mixed C double division. Michelle Carr, Mo Bundon, Donna Ell and Marc Ell won gold in the mixed D quad division.

Regina’s Christine Selinger won two medals on Friday at the world canoe and kayak championships.
