Kali Christ 15th at ISU World Final
Regina’s Kali Christ finished in 15th place in the women’s 1000 metres at the ISU World Cup Speed Skating Final on Sunday in Berlin, Germany.
Christ finishd with a time of one minute, 17.52 seconds. Christine Nesbitt of Ontario won in 1:15.04.
Christ was 11th in the women’s 1500 m in 1:59.50.

Regina speed skaters at world all-round championships
Lucas Makowsky and Justin Warsylewicz, both from Regina, took part in the World All-round Championships in Moscow this weekend.
Makowsky was 16th overall in the men’s standing, after skating to ninth in the 500 m, 16th in the 1500 m, and 21st in the 5000 m.
Warsylewicz was 19th overall in the men’s standings. He was 18th in the 500 m, 18th in the 1500 m and 23rd in the 500 m.

Regina speed skaters at long track championships
Regina speed skaters are taking part in the Canadian long track single-distance speedskating championships in Calgary Thursday through Sunday.

Lucas Makowsky 17th at World Cup opener
Regina’s Lucas Makowsky finished in 17th place at the International Skating Union’s World Cup season-opener in Chelyabinsk, Russia.
He had a time of one minute, 48.01 seconds in the 1500 m speed skating event.

Lucas Makowsky of Regina won the 5,000 metre race this weekend at Speed Skating Canada’s Fall World Cup Long Track Trials in Calgary.
He raced to a six minute, 30.44 second time.

Kali Christ wins Canada Cup long track, breaks record
With a win in Calgary this weekend, Kali Christ of Regina has won the Canada Cup long track women’s speed skating tour.
Christ won the 1,500 m with a time of one minute and 58.60 seconds this weekend at the Canada Cup 4 competition in Calgary. The time broke a Canadian junior record.
Kirsti Lay of Regina was second in 1:58.25.

Laurent Dubreuil and Kali Christ on the podium at World Junior Long Track Championships
Laurent Dubreuil (Lévis, QC) and Kali Christ (Calgary, AB) each won a medal for Canada today at the World Junior Championships in Seinajoki, Finland. Dubreuil won silver in the 500m event while Christ got the bronze medal of the 1500m race.

Lucas Makowsky of Regina was 10th in the men’s 1,500 m Group A event at the Salt Lake City speed skating World Cup. Makowsky skated in a time of 1:47.93, while Justin Warsylewicz skated in the Group B event and placed ninth in 1:46.93.
