The Regina Piranhas Summer Swim Club has won the Saskatchewan summer swim championships this past weekend. Regina’s score of 690 gave the Piranhas their first win at the Saskatchewan championships.   Lauren Lavoie and Stephanie Hadubiak, both of the Piranhas Swim Club, set a provincial record in the 200 m freestyle and 200 m medley relays. August 1st - Swim Canada Age Group Nationals concluded today in Montreal, Quebec with the 5000M open water swim.  This is a new Olympic event that has been incorporated into provincial and national competitions.  Five swimmers from the RODS participated.  Lexy King lead the RODS with a Silver medal performance in the 13 year category, swimming 5km in 1:04.48.11.  Nicole Robinson, 15 years finished... 

National Senior Championships had a brilliant finish for the RODS with Jessica Winters qualifing for the Olympic Trials 2012,  joining Quinn Moore & Cassandra Brassard. The South Semifinal took place in Oxbow this weekend to qualify swimmers for the Saskatchewan Championship.
