Icebreaker Triathlon held on Sunday
The Regina Multisport Club held the Brent Gibson Memorial Icebreaker Triathlon on Sunday with terrific weather and great results.
In the sprint event, Robert Bigsby of Saskatoon was first place in the men’s division with a time of one hour, three minutes, and 57 seconds; Patrick Ash of Regina was second in 1:06:38; and Conway Nelson of Regina was third in 1:06:42.

There were 24 athletes representing Regina at the 2010 Subaru Ironman Canada in Penticton, B.C. on Saturday. Athletes cover a distance ofa 3.8 km swim, 180 km bike, and 42.2 km run in the Ironman. Regina athletes placed as follows:

KELOWNA, B.C. – Saskatchewan age groupers showed their might at the 28th Annual Apple Triathlon on August 21 and 22, 2010. Many Regina athletes headed to Calgary over the weekend to participate in the Ironman Calgary 70.3, a triathlon that included a 1.9 km swim, a 94 km bike, and a 21.1 km run. Results are below:

Jeff Hehn and Sharon Styles overall Champions at Regina Beach Triathlon
The 2010 Mackenzie Plumbing & Heating Regina Beach Triathlon took place on Sunday.
The men’s overall Olympic distance champion was Jeff Hehn of Saskatoon with a time of two hours, 11 minutes, and 19 seconds. Alyosha Boldt of Saskatoon was second in 2:12:36, and Hugo van Rooyen of Regina was third in 2:14:03.

Regina Beach X-Race a success

The Regina Multisport Club’s first ever X-Race, held yesterday at Regina Beach, was deemed a success by organizer Lee-Ann Ricci.
Andrew Thomas of Regina won the event, finishing the 1000 m swim, 17.5 km mountain bike, and 10 km run in one hour and 48 minutes. Brad Kerr was second in 1:48:36, and Ryan Leibel was third in 1:50:38.
