The Calgary Bowness Monster won the senior men’s Canadian club championships this weekend. Six players and one coach from the team are originally from Regina, including Noah Miller, Pat McGinn, Will Tunison, Kent Hardisty, Andrew Wallace, and coach Chris Holden. Three Saskatchewan synchronized swimming clubs were chosen for the 2010-11 club excellence program. Regina Synchro, Yorkton Aquabatix, and the Estevan mermaids were selected. Regina’s Jenna Crook scored two goals on Sunday as the Canadian team won a bronze medal at the Canada Cup women’s water polo tournament. Canada beat Italy 16-9 for third place.
