The Dog River Howlers Rugby Club, from Regina, won the Cancun 7`s championship for the second year in a row on the weekend. The Howlers beat Mexico City`s Black Thunder 21-0 in the final. In the round robin, they beat the Cancun hammerheads 59-0, the Lobos 42-10, the Walabies 33-5 and the French Flair 21-0. Team Saskatchewan beat Alberta 43-42 in a close one yesterday at the Crash Test Wheelchair Rugby Tournament, held at the University of Regina. Cody harrower scored 29 goals in the win. Saskatchewan will take on Alberta today at noon.  Read More →

Miranda Biletski finished her first weekend at a world wheelchair rugby championship. The championship took place in Vancouver, where Biletski and her Canadian teammates finished with a 5-2 record. On Thursday, they lost 52-51 in overtime to Sweden, and on Friday they lost another close one 49-48 to the United States. Canada went on to beat Poland 60-38 on Saturday and Great Britain 59-54 on Sunday.... 

The Regina Campion Grads won the first division Saskatchewan Rugby Union provincial championship in Regina with a 32-15 win over Lloydmister. The Saskatoon Wild Oats beat the Regina Rogues 38-27 in the second division title.  Read More →
