Greg Dyck of Regina competed in the Bear 100 Mile Endurance Run over the weekend.
Dyck finished in 138th place after running from Logan, Utah, to Fish Haven, Idaho, in 33 hours, 34 minutes, and 19 seconds.

Regina athletes competed in the Oasis Zoo Run, the National 10K road Race and Timex Series event in Toronto last weekend.

Gay Renouf and Stacey Shand complete multi-day event
Gay Renouf and Stacey Shand, both of Regina, completed the Gore-Tex Trans Alpine multi-day race on Saturday. They began the trek in Germany, and ran through Austria, Switzerland, and Italy in 55 hours, 17 minutes, and 20 seconds. Renouf and Shand were one of only four Canadian teams to finish the 274 km trek; they were one of only two female Canadian teams to finish.

Queen City Marathon on a hot September day
Runners braved the unusual September heat today to take part in the Credit Union Queen City Marathon. As always, the event was well organized by race coordinator Doug Russell and his team.
Brendan Lunty of Camrose, Alberta, was the top male marathon runner, and finished in two hours, 37 minutes, and four seconds. Russell Neff of Regina was second overall and the top local finished in a time of 2:39:01.

Simon Kostic and Blair Anderson at Gore-Tex TransRockies Run
Regina’s Simon Kostic and Wynard’s Blair Anderson finished in 16th place in the men’s masters division at the Gore-Tex TransRockies Run in Colorado.
The masters division was for athletes who had a combined age of over 80.

Stacey Shand at Ultra-Trail du mont-Blanc
Stacey Shand finished in 18th place in the women’s 23-39 division at the North Face Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc in Chamonix, France on Friday.
The Regina athlete took part in the 120 km race through Alpine passes, and finished in 31 hours, 28 minutes, and 42 seconds.

Reginans at Canadian Death Race
Regina runners recently took part in the Canadian Death Race. The relay team of TNF Prairie Summit finished fifth in men’s teams. The team consisted of Geoff Horn, Mike Nichols, Enio Ricci, Jim Bichel, and Jay Harrison; they finished in a time of 13 hours and 10 minutes over the 125 km race.

Regina runners won their age divisions on Sunday at the Saskatchewan Marathon in Saskatoon.
Gay Renouf won the women’s 50-59 division of the full marathon with a time of three hours, 31 minutes, and nine seconds.

Ted Jaleta wins Echo Lake Road Race
Regina’s Ted Jaleta once again won the Fort Qu’Appelle Lions Echo Lake Road Race, this time in one hour, 15 minutes, and 56 seconds. It was his fourth straight victory and his 15th since 1988. Gary Nagy of Weyburn was second in 1:18:50, and John Svec of Regina was third in 1:20:04.

The Royal Road Race took place in Regina on Saturday, with runners and walkers completing the 10 K and 5 K races.
